Best places in the world to see the longest sunrise
In most of the world, sunrise lasts a few minutes — the sun crosses the horizon and you've missed it if you blinked. But in polar regions during certain times of year, sunrise stretches for hours. The sun grazes the horizon, dips below, and grazes again, all over the course of a single "sunrise."

Why polar sunrises last hours
